On Thursday, Megan Thee Stallion testified remotely in court. During the hearing, she expressed that she’s experienced anxiety since the shooting event. Furthermore, she asserted that Artist Lanez was employing individuals to bother her persistently.
She expressed concern that once Lanez is freed from prison, his anger towards her will persist and she worries about his potential for violence. “Even while he’s in jail, he continues to unsettle me,” Megan explained. “It feels like he won’t let me have a moment’s peace.” She went on to say that when Lanez is released, she fears the situation may worsen. … She believes he might shoot her again, and this time, it could be fatal.
Lanez’s legal representative contended that the restraining order was unjustified and excessive. Yet, Judge Bloom pointed out that an incident like the shooting carries a lasting impact, which he described as “persisting waves.” Furthermore, Judge Bloom emphasized that Megan Thee Stallion’s testimony underscored the fact that these repercussions were substantial.
