Meet the Parents 4 in Development, Ben Stiller & Robert De Niro in Talks To Return

As a seasoned gamer of life’s cinematic rollercoaster, I must admit, the news about Meet the Parents 4 stirs a sense of nostalgia within me. The original trilogy was more than just a series of films; it was a journey I embarked on with my fellow movie-goers, sharing laughter, cringes, and warm feelings.

Meet the Parents 4 is in development at Universal Pictures.

Under the guidance of director Jay Roach, the 2000 film titled “Meet the Parents” was a hilarious comedy production. This cinematic piece featured Ben Stiller portraying the character Greg Focker, Robert De Niro as Jack Byrnes, Blythe Danner as Dina Byrnes, and Teri Polo as Pam Byrnes. Notably, it is a revamped version of the 1992 film with the same name, which was previously directed by Greg Glienna.

The original film “Meet the Parents” was succeeded by two more installments: 2004’s “Meet the Fockers” and 2010’s “Little Fockers”. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo appeared in both movies, as did Owen Wilson reprising his role as Kevin Rawley. In “Meet the Fockers”, we were also introduced to Dustin Hoffman’s character Bernie Focker and Barbra Streisand as Roz Focker.

As reported by Deadline, it appears that Universal Pictures is actively progressing with Meet the Parents 4. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Owen Wilson, and Blythe Danner may potentially reprise their roles, as they are currently engaged in preliminary discussions for the film.
