As an ardent fan of Malayalam cinema, I can confidently say that Soubin Shahir is a shining star in our film industry. Born and raised in Kochi, this talented actor has followed his father’s footsteps from being an assistant director to becoming a renowned actor, director, and producer. His journey in the world of showbiz is nothing short of inspiring.

Discuss the individual who clinched the Kerala State Film Award in 2018 for his remarkable debut in a leading role, and is now slated to appear alongside cinematic greats Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna in their forthcoming film Coolie. It’s worth noting that this talent has previously been associated with a financial misconduct allegation. I refer to Soubin Shahir, of course!

Born on October 12, 1983, Soubin Shahir, famously known as one of the Manjummel Boys, was nurtured alongside a sibling in Kochi, Kerala. Notably, his father, Babu Shahir, was deeply involved in the film industry, serving as an assistant director and production controller for movies such as Manichithrathazhu, Godfather, In Harihar Nagar, among others. Currently, Soubin Shahir is a multi-talented figure who has earned recognition as an actor, director, and producer within the South Indian film industry, having garnered numerous awards for his work.

The film garnered acclaim at the box office and received 5 Kerala State Film Awards in 2018, with Soubin Shahir taking home the Best Actor Award among them.

As a dedicated follower of my craft, I had the incredible honor of portraying a pivotal role in Siju David’s 2024 masterpiece, Manjummel Boys. Beyond merely acting, I was fortunate enough to be a part of the production process for this groundbreaking film as well. The Manjummel Boys left an indelible mark at the box office, breaking records and earning universal acclaim and admiration. This movie went on to become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of its time, making it a landmark in Malayalam cinema history.
