And so, in 1986, I made my debut in the captivating Tamil film, Mythili Yennai Kadali, directed by none other than T. Rajendar himself.
While Amala’s first movie brought her some acclaim, it was her role in Velaikaran from 1987 that truly catapulted her to fame, sharing screen time with the renowned Rajinikanth. In the same year, Amala also made her entrance into the Telugu film industry, featuring in a comedy titled Pushpaka Vimana.
