Who is Shruti Haasan?
Shruti Haasan, born on the 28th of January in 1986, is a daughter to renowned Indian film actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. This esteemed couple continues to be revered as timeless legends within the film industry. Originating from the city of Madras, Shruti’s family boasts a rich cultural tapestry, with Tamil Brahmin Iyengar roots on her father’s side and a mix of Marathi and Rajput ancestry on her mother’s lineage.
Growing up, Shruti was confronted with difficult truths, particularly when her parents split in the year 2004. Notably, she has a young sister, Akshara Haasan, who has made a name for herself as an accomplished actress within the Indian film industry.
For a substantial part of her existence, Shruti resided in Chennai. Her educational journey culminated at Lady Andal School within this very city. Later on, she relocated to Mumbai to obtain a psychology degree from St. Andrew’s College.

Shruti Haasan’s personal life
On a personal note, I was once in a relationship with actor Michael Corsale based in London, but we parted ways back in 2019. More recently, in 2022, I found myself dating visual artist Shantanu Hazarika. Regrettably, after spending several years together, it appears that we too have called it quits.
