As a lifestyle expert, I must say that delving into Nani’s life story is as captivating as one of his films. Born and bred in Hyderabad, this Natural Star has made an indelible mark on the Indian film industry with his relatable acting style and versatile performances.

Born in Hyderabad, this actor is renowned for his diverse roles within the Indian film industry. His career has seen numerous successful films and continues to garner recognition. Apart from acting, he’s worked as an assistant director and hosted a well-liked Telugu TV show. Amongst his admirers, he is affectionately called the Natural Star. If you’re thinking of who this could be, it’s none other than Nani.

A look into Nani’s early life

It may surprise you to learn that Nani’s birth name is actually Naveen Babu Ghanta. This notable Indian figure is renowned as an actor, producer, and TV host, primarily recognized for his contributions to Telugu cinema. Originally from Hyderabad, he has left a lasting impression in the film world with his wide-ranging performances, earning him the endearing nickname of “Natural Star” thanks to his authentic acting style.

Nani, in his private life, is wedded to Anjana Yelavarthy. They first crossed paths when he was employed as a radio jockey, and their romantic journey unfolded gradually. After five years of dating, they became engaged in 2012 and eventually tied the knot in a low-key ceremony that year. In 2017, they were blessed with a son named Arjun.

Nani’s life before becoming an actor

Initially, Nani found his breakthrough in the role of a radio host at World Space Satellite Radio, where he presented the widely acclaimed program titled “Non-Stop with Nani.” His captivating demeanor and love for cinema turned this show into a success, resulting in him receiving the title of RJ of the Year.

Following his time as a radio host, Nani moved on to work behind the scenes in the movie industry, initially serving as an assistant director. Notably, he worked under the esteemed director Bapu and participated in multiple films such as Radha Gopalam, Astram, among others. In this capacity, his responsibilities included overseeing the set and providing assistance with various production duties, specifically in the role of a clap director.

Embarking on my own cinematic adventure started with gracing television ads. It was there that my talent was spotted by visionary director Mohan Krishna Indraganti, who extended a life-changing invitation to star in his debut feature film, Ashta Chamma. This pivotal moment signified the dawn of a new era in my professional journey.

Nani as a voice artist

In the Telugu versions of “OK Bangaram” and “Awe,” Nani supplied the voices for the characters Adhi and Fish, respectively. Furthermore, he lent his voice to the grown-up version of the main character in the sports drama film “Jersey.”

Significantly, Nani voiced the character Simba in the Telugu adaptation of Disney’s timeless animated film, The Lion King.

Nani’s rise as a pan-India star

Nani’s movies, like Eega and Jersey, have attracted interest not just in areas where Telugu is spoken but nationwide as well. Yet, it was Dasara that truly established him in cinema across India. This film, under the guidance of director Srikanth Odela, presents a storyline against the industrial landscape of Singareni coal mines, focusing on issues such as socio-economic disparities and power struggles.

The movie he made with Ms. Murunal Thakur, called “Hi Nanna,” which was dubbed and distributed across various languages, only served to reinforce his reputation as an actor with a wide appeal throughout India.

Nani’s upcoming projects

Right now, Nani is ready for the premiere of his upcoming movie called “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.” This film is directed by Vivek Athreya and it’s a romantic action flick where Nani and Priyanka Mohan play the main characters. SJ Suryah and other skilled actors join them in supporting roles. D.V.V. Danayya is producing this movie under his banner, DVV Entertainment, and “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” will be released in theaters on August 29.

In a recent conversation, actor SJ Suryah shared details about the film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. He explained that this movie centers around the character Nani, who has battled anger issues since his youth. To assist him in controlling his temper, his mother proposes that he can vent all his anger exclusively on one specific day – every Saturday. The narrative aims to depict a genuine story about an ordinary individual harboring something extraordinary within himself.

On August 13, we’ll finally get to see the trailer for the upcoming movie, and fans can’t wait to catch Nani in a brand new role!
