In the previous installment, we saw Masaki and her new group struggle to build their Newtube channel and navigate the challenges that came with revealing their unique abilities to the world. The cliffhanger ending left me on the edge of my seat, eagerly anticipating what would happen next.

Mayonaka Punch episode 2 recap
The episode opens with Masaki groggily rising from bed, cursed with a hangover yet retaining clear memories of the past events. Yet, as she reaches for a refreshing drink, her previous companions inform her they are departing from their shared residence. Subsequently, Masaki sets out in search of Banpai manor and encounters Live, Fu, and Ichiko along the way.
Live gently reminds Masaki that once they reach one million subscribers, they will have to perform a rather unsettling ritual involving bone marrow extraction, leaving Masaki feeling uneasy. The duo continues producing videos filled with thrilling stunts using their vampire abilities, rapidly growing their fan base. However, an unexpected visit from Shigeyuki forces them to consider deleting their channel as they fear the consequences of revealing their powers to the public. Live resists but ultimately yields to Yuki’s command, which she reveals comes directly from their mother.
Masaki disputes and confronts her, leading to a heated response. But when Masaki throws garlic paste into her mouth, she appears disoriented. Live and Ichiko urge her to remove the channel, as they’re unable to defy their mother. Sadly, Masaki regrets the breach of trust and searches for her.
In the meantime, Masaki stays secluded in her room, feeling downcast. Live comes knocking and urges Masaki to let her in, but she declines. Curiosity piqued, Live asks Masaki about the significance of creating videos. Masaki then shares a memory of how she and her friends initially began making videos. Live vows to support Masaki and aid her in achieving her goal. The episode concludes with them agreeing on a channel name—Mayonaka Punch.
