MaXXXine’s Ti West Will Direct Bloodlust Amazon Prime Video Series Created by Halsey

As a long-time fan of Ti West’s hauntingly brilliant work and a die-hard Halsey enthusiast, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of excitement when I heard about their upcoming collaboration on Amazon Prime Video‘s dark comedy series, Bloodlust.

Maxime’s director Ti West has been chosen to helm and co-produce a fresh dark comedy series for Amazon Prime Video titled “Bloodlust”. This series is the brainchild of Halsey.

Director West is well-known for creating the entire Mia Goth-centered X trilogy, consisting of X (2022), Pearl (also 2022), and MaXXXine (2024). Before embarking on this project, he had already produced works like The House of the Devil (2009), Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever (2009) and The Innkeepers (2011), among others.

Now, West will be working on a new series called Bloodlust.

What do we know about Ti West and Halsey’s Amazon series Bloodlust?

At present, specific details about the plot of Bloodlust are being kept secret. The pop artist known as Halsey (born Ashley Frangipane) is involved in the creation, scriptwriting, and executive production of the show, but she will not appear on screen. Currently, no casting decisions have been revealed.

In addition to West and Halsey, Bloodlust will have Mark Friedman serving as both executive producer and showrunner. Halsey’s manager, Anthony Li, is also involved in the production. Amazon MGM Studios will be responsible for producing this series.

Previously, Halsey and West have collaborated, with Halsey portraying Tabby Martin, Maxine’s friend, in the film MaXXXine. This production premiered in U.S. cinemas over the summer and can currently be streamed online on Max.

In addition to her roles, Halsey lent her voice to Wonder Woman in the movie “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies” (2018) and Porsha Crystal in “Sing 2” (2021). She made a cameo appearance as herself in Bradley Cooper’s “A Star Is Born,” released in 2018. Furthermore, she starred in “Americana,” directed by Tony Tost, which debuted at South by Southwest in March 2023. The film also features Sydney Sweeney, Paul Walter Hauser, Eric Dane, Simon Rex, Toby Huss, and others.

A premiere date for Bloodlust has not yet been announced by Amazon Prime Video.
