Maxxxine 4K & Blu-ray Release Date Set for A24 Horror Movie

As a diehard horror fan who has lived through countless sleepless nights thanks to the genre, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming physical release of Maxxxine! Having been captivated by Ti West’s X and its sequel Pearl, I eagerly await the direct sequel that promises to take us further into the twisted world of Mia Goth’s character, Maxine Minx.

Lionsgate has officially revealed the release date for Maxxxine in 4K and Blu-ray format, thus providing fans with the expected launch timeline for the third installment of Ti West’s horror trilogy on physical media.

What is the Maxxxine 4K & Blu-ray release date?

The release date for Maxxxine in 4K and Blu-ray format has been confirmed for October 8, 2024. On this day, you’ll be able to get the movie in several different versions. The regular 4K, Blu-ray, and digital version will cost $42.99, but there will also be a Blu-ray, DVD, and digital bundle for $39.99. Additionally, a special edition of this set, exclusive to Walmart, will also be available for the same price of $39.99.

In a fresh take, Maxxxine (previously known as MaXXXine) marks the third installment of Ti West’s “X” film franchise that started with the 2022 release, X, and continued with Pearl, its successor. Much like a natural progression, Maxxxine serves as the sequel to the original film, focusing on Mia Goth’s character Maxine Minx, who embarks on a journey to Los Angeles in 1985. The story unfolds six years after the tragic events at the farmstead depicted in X.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but excitedly share that in the same space as Goth, we have Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, Kevin Bacon, and Simon Prast gracing our screens. What a stellar cast!

If you’re eager to see Maxxxine before its actual theater release, you can now purchase or rent it digitally instead. Similar to other Premium Video On Demand (PVOD) launches, it will be priced at $24.99 for a purchase and $19.99 for a rental on platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV Plus, and others.
