On Valentine’s Day, Mauricio Umansky sustained an injury to his shoulder blade while skiing in Aspen, Colorado. He announced this news to his 814k Instagram followers via a series of Instagram stories. Additionally, he mentioned that he would be having surgery at Aspen Valley Hospital to aid in a swift recovery.

On Monday, February 17th, Umansky shared with fans that his clavicle surgery was successful. He mentioned the procedure involved inserting a metal plate along with twelve screws. He expressed gratitude to those who reached out, stating he felt an abundance of love and support.

Despite the skiing mishap, Umansky remains in high spirits. From his hospital bed, he posted an optimistic message: “I can’t wait for this surgery to be over so I can recover. Sometimes playing hard results in injury, but the care I’ve received here has been exceptional.
