Who’s involved in the Maul: Shadow Lord series?

During this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo, the announcement was made for a new animated series titled “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord.” This series will see the return of veteran Star Wars voice actor Sam Witwer as he reprises his role as Darth Maul, a character he played in Dave Filoni’s widely acclaimed The Clone Wars and Rebels shows. The series is being developed and overseen by Filoni himself. The creative team behind the project includes Matt Michnovetz serving as head writer, Brad Rau as supervising director, and Athena Portillo of Lucasfilm as vice president of animation, all of whom are also executive producers.

Originally played by Ray Park and Peter Serafinowicz in 1999’s “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace,” the character has a rich history.

In a recent discussion, it was revealed that we’ll discover new aspects of this character. He possesses certain unique characteristics that might not be immediately apparent but align perfectly with his past experiences.
