Apple TV+ recently unveiled a trailer for an upcoming survival drama titled “The Lost Bus“. In this film, Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey takes center stage, though at present, there’s no confirmed release date available for the movie.

What happens in The Lost Bus teaser trailer?

The video offers a sneak peek into the upcoming drama, where McConaughey portrays a character grappling with a personal conflict. He is a bus driver who must choose between prioritizing his family’s safety or risking himself to save children caught in a wildfire. Alongside McConaughey, the cast includes America Ferrera as Mary Ludwig, Yul Vazquez as Ray Martinez, Ashlie Atkinson as Ruby, Spencer Watson as Hopkins, Danny McCarthy as McKenzie, and other talented actors.

The plot revolves around Kevin McKay (played by McConaughey) and Mary Ludwig (portrayed by Ferrera), a bus driver and teacher, as they navigate a school bus filled with children through the devastating Camp Fire.

The film titled ‘The Lost Bus’ is helmed by director Paul Greengrass, who adapted the screenplay from Lizzie Johnson’s 2021 book ‘Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire’. This movie focuses on the devastating California wildfires of 2018. The production is shared by Brad Ingelsby, Greg Goodman, Jamie Lee Curtis’ Comet Pictures, and Jason Blum’s Blumhouse. Lizzie Johnson and Amy Lord serve as executive producers for this project.

In addition to the creative team, there’s Pål Ulvik Rokseth as the director of photography, James Newton Howard handling the composing duties, and a trio of editors: Peter Dudgeon, William Goldenberg, and Paul Rubell.
