It appears that several Marvel Cinmatic Universe (MCU) films are being considered for a possible release during Phase 7. At present, the latest officially scheduled MCU movie titled “Avengers: Secret Wars” is set to debut on May 7, 2027, but this doesn’t necessarily imply that the franchise will conclude with the forthcoming Multiversal epic blockbuster.
There’s been some buzz about upcoming Marvel Studios projects, and certain titles are popping up frequently as potential candidates for Phase 7, following the expected 2027 release of “Secret Wars.
Based on breathless reports at The Direct, they believe that four upcoming films slated for Phase 7 could be:
1. The long-awaited BLADE film
2. BLACK PANTHER 3
3. Marvel Studios’ first major X-MEN movie
4. SHANG-CHI 2, which has been highly anticipated.

However, not much attention is being given to the fact that many long-standing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) fans are experiencing a decline in excitement for the upcoming “Phase 7” films. This could be due to the ongoing emphasis on the Multiverse Saga since Phase 4, which some viewers might find overwhelming or even uninteresting by the time Phase 7 comes along. Furthermore, delays and production troubles with specific projects like “Blade” have added to the confusion and diminished anticipation among fans.
The abundance of superhero content is another reason that could be dampening enthusiasm. With an impressive 35 movies and a dozen TV series already released, it might be tough to win over new fans due to the overwhelming amount of content they’d need to follow. After almost two decades of Marvel Cinematic Universe productions, some spectators may be experiencing superhero burnout. Nevertheless, Marvel Studios persists in producing more projects, aiming to keep fans engaged and eager for future releases.
