Recent information indicates that the anticipated release of Arkane Lyon’s Blade video game might be slightly later than many fans initially expected.

When is the Blade video game’s release date window?

Based on the latest financial reports from Arkane, released on Bluesky and ResetEra in 2024, it appears that they didn’t start the manufacturing phase for Blade until the closing of the year.

The financial document notes a preliminary launch date for the game in November 2027; yet, considering the typical unpredictability of video game development timelines, there’s a chance it could be pushed back to a later release.

I was taken aback when I learned that Marvel’s Blade game was further along in development than I had imagined. Previously, it was thought that the project was still in its early stages. However, I recently discovered that work on the game actually began back in January 2022, which explains why it was announced during The Game Awards 2023 in December. It seems that the initial work was primarily focused on creating a prototype and ensuring all production aspects were ironed out before moving forward.

At present, we don’t have extensive information about Marvel’s character, Blade. A short preview for the game unveiled that the storyline is set in France, showcasing Blade receiving a haircut at a barbershop as day turned into night.
