As a seasoned gamer with years of Marvel Snap under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement as the Young Avengers season approaches! Having played through the Alliances and Deadpool seasons, I’m eager to dive into the action-packed world of the Young Avengers.
As a gaming enthusiast diving into the Marvel universe, I can’t wait for Second Dinner to serve up the Young Avengers in the Marvel Snap’s August 2024 season! This dynamic team has shared battles with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and one of its leaders was none other than Kate Bishop, partner to my favorite archer, Clint Barton. It’s a fresh take on the superhero genre I can’t get enough of!
The upcoming Marvel Snap series for the Young Avengers will debut next week, showcasing several fresh faces from their squad. These newcomers are part of the team.
- (2) Hawkeye Kate Bishop (3) (Season Pass card) – On Reveal: Add 2 Arrows to your hand.
- (1) Basic Arrow (1) – On Reveal: If you play a card at this location next turn, +3 Power.
- (1) Pym Arrow (1) – Ongoing: If your side of this location is full, +3 Power.
- (1) Acid Arrow (-2) – On Reveal: Switch sides.
- (1) Grapple Arrow (3) – On Reveal: After you play your next card, move it to this location.
- (4) Wiccan (7) – On Reveal: If you’ve spent all your Energy this game, +2 Max Energy.
- (3) Speed (3) – Ongoing: +1 Power for each turn in which you spent all your Energy.
- (3) Marvel Boy (2) – After each turn, give 3 of your 1-Cost cards +1 Power.
- (6) Emperor Hulkling (11) – At the start of the game, copy the text of a random 6-Cost card.
Two additional sites will make their premiere during the August 2024 season: “Destroyed Mansion” and “Clubhouse”. The “Destroyed Mansion” will bestow a 1-Cost, 0-Power stone on both sides of each location, as well as a 1-Cost, indestructible Vibranium token with a power level of 4, which gets added to each player’s hand. On the other hand, “Clubhouse” offers an extra +1 Power boost to every other site owned by either player once it is fully occupied.
As a longtime fan of Marvel comics and movies, I am beyond excited for the upcoming season of Young Avengers! Last week’s debut of Alliances left me eagerly anticipating more action-packed adventures with these young heroes. And let’s not forget about Deadpool – his Maximum Effort season may be wrapping up soon, but I can hardly wait for the Deadpool League next weekend (August 8-10)!
