As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in various multiplayer arenas, I can confidently say that Marvel Rivals has managed to impress me yet again. The game’s quick and efficient cheater reporting system is a breath of fresh air, especially after dealing with the persistent cheaters in Overwatch 2 for so long.
Marvel Rivals, developed by NetEase, is creating a buzz on the internet with its free-to-play 6v6 shooter format. This exciting newcomer is giving more established games like Overwatch 2 a run for their money, thanks to its distinctive features such as 6v6 game lobbies, absence of role lock, and a wide variety of maps and game modes that have enticed players from Blizzard’s popular shooter to make the switch to Marvel Rivals.
In the gaming world, one Overwatch 2 professional known as Flats is among numerous enthusiasts who can’t seem to get enough of Marvel Rivals. His affection for the game has grown even stronger due to a new feature that offers a seamless way to report cheaters and promptly ban them. Let me explain how this process unfolds in the game.
Marvel Rivals feature allows players to report and ban cheaters instantly
Flats, an expert Overwatch player, recently posted a video demonstrating how to report suspected cheaters or players in Marvel Rivals using the replay feature. To initiate this process, start by playing back a recent match you participated in. Once inside the replay viewer, navigate to the Settings menu and under the Match tab, you’ll find a list of both your teammates’ and opponents’ names.
Flats wanted to report a player suspected of cheating, named “kinectic”. To do this, he needs to click on the icon that looks like an Exclamation Mark Triangle next to the player’s name. This action will open up a ‘Report Player’ screen with six options: Inappropriate Username, Text Chat Misconduct, Voice Chat Misconduct, Unsporting Behavior, Suspected Cheating, and Inappropriate Content.
In this scenario, Flats opted to report the player for Cheating as grounds for the ban, but you’re welcome to select your own rationale for submitting a report. However, there’s an additional twist: When Flats clicks on the Next button, the game displays a message revealing that the suspected cheater has already been reported multiple times and is now at risk of being permanently banned from the game.
Immediately, Flats was astounded by the swift action and quick response from the development team regarding the desired feature in Overwatch. Other players who witnessed this were equally impressed, with one exclaiming, “Responding quickly to cheaters will likely be a game-saver.” Another player added enthusiastically, “Victories just keep piling up with Rivals.
