Marvel Rivals is already getting ruined by cheaters

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that Marvel Rivals has been one of the most promising titles to grace our screens in recent memory. However, like a pesky villain in a comic book, cheaters have managed to disrupt the immersive experience this game offers.

I remember the days of Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, where cheaters were as common as the air we breathe. But Marvel Rivals had shown promise, a beacon of hope in the gaming world. Unfortunately, it seems that even this shining star has fallen prey to the insidious presence of cheaters.

Streamers like Eskay and bogur have rightfully voiced their concerns, with cheaters appearing in more than half of their matches. It’s akin to watching a Marvel movie with the sound muted – it just doesn’t feel right. If these issues persist, I fear that the game will become unplayable, much like the infamous Fantastic Four film adaptation of 2005.

I sincerely hope that the developers take swift action to address this problem, because as Spider-Man would say, “With great power comes great responsibility.” And right now, it’s the developers who need to step up and save us from these digital Jokers.

To all the cheaters out there, I have a simple message: You’re not fooling anyone, especially not the likes of Iron Man or Thor. You’re like a cat burglar trying to steal from Tony Stark – it’s just not going to work out for you in the end. So do us all a favor and rethink your actions. Cheating is like trying to fight Captain America with a rubber chicken – it’s just not effective or impressive.

On December 6, 2024, Marvel Rivals was released and swiftly gained immense popularity. Over the past few weeks, its fame has grown exponentially, establishing itself as the go-to shooter game at present. Yet, with custom game modes emerging online, so too are cheaters – a problem that’s growing more significant for numerous players.

Cheaters in Marvel Rivals

It’s unfortunate that cheaters are common in many online games, but most players can usually handle an occasional run-in with them. However, it appears that the number of cheaters in Marvel Rivals is on the rise, which seems to be causing concern among the gaming community.

As an avid gamer, I’ve noticed a troubling trend. Notable streamers like Eskay and bogur have voiced their concerns about this issue on platform X (previously known as Twitter). They’ve shared their experiences of encountering cheaters in more than half of their recent gaming sessions, which has significantly reduced the fun they derive from the game.

60% of the games I played today were manipulated, making it an unpleasant experience. If the situation isn’t addressed promptly, the game may become unenjoyable within approximately a month.

Marvel’s Rival game saw an exceptional debut, with player numbers significantly increasing on its first day. The game itself appeared exceptionally well-crafted, boasting minimal bugs, fair matchmaking, balanced gameplay, and virtually no waiting times between matches. For a free-to-play title, such high-quality standards are seldom seen. Initially, I had apprehensions that Marvel Rivals might face a disastrous introduction similar to Overwatch 2, characterized by server crashes, cheaters, serious glitches, and other problems that made it nearly unplayable.

With cheating becoming a growing issue that’s affecting the quality of play in Rivals, I genuinely hope the creators will act promptly and effectively to rectify this situation.

To those who are deceiving: Consider changing your ways for everyone’s benefit. Your behaviors are bringing shame upon you.
