As a lifelong Marvel fan who’s seen my fair share of Captain America and Winter Soldier battles, I can hardly contain my excitement for Marvel Rivals! Having grown up with these characters, it feels like a dream come true to see them brought to life in this hero shooter. The trailer at Gamescom was a thrilling sneak peek into the gameplay, and I’m particularly intrigued by Winter Soldier’s ground-smashing mechanical arm move!
At the Gamescom Opening Night Live event, NetEase Games unveiled Captain America and Winter Soldier as the next two playable characters for Marvel Rivals. Moreover, the studio declared that the hero shooter game will be globally released on December 6, 2024, with all characters accessible from the very first day.
We got a look at gameplay for Marvel Rival’s two newest characters in the trailer shown at Gamescom. While Captain America can bash enemies with his shield or use it to deflect projectiles, Winter Soldier can smash the ground for AOE attacks using his mechanical arm.
