Initially planned for February 22 at the Durham Performing Arts Center and February 23 at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium, the shows have been rescheduled. They are now set to take place on October 17 in Knoxville and October 18 in Durham. Martin expressed his apologies for the delay, stating, “I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. I believe we’ll be even funnier then!” At this time, representatives for Short and Rudolph have not offered additional comments.

He humorously stated, “With the surge of COVID, flu, RSV, and nanovirus this winter, health professionals are under immense pressure. To avoid complications, we wisely crammed every beloved entertainer over sixty into a petite venue.
Martin, who has appeared on SNL an impressive 16 times, teamed up with Short for the anniversary special. Although Martin was never a permanent cast member, he often graced the show’s stage. In a recent episode that aired in 2022, they both co-hosted, playfully remarking about their long-standing partnership, saying they could “wrap up each other’s careers.” You can catch SNL50: The Anniversary Special on Peacock now.
