When is the Art of Eight Limbs & The Lockdown release dates?
On August 16, select cinemas will screen a double bill featuring “The Art of Eight Limbs” and “The Lockdown”. After its theatrical run, “The Art of Eight Limbs” will be available digitally on August 20. This action-thriller, led by Ludi Lin, is directed by Robert Grasmere from a script co-written by H. Daniel Gross, Ryan Jaeger, and Louis Spiegler. Apart from Lin, the movie also stars Grace Vorananth, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Vithaya Pansringarm, and Nicholas Hammond in key roles.
In the plot summary, we find that Lin is a dual role character, working as a CIA data analyst and a part-time kickboxer. On assignment in Myanmar, he disguises himself within a martial arts tournament which unbeknownst to many, masks an arms dealer selling VX Nerve Gas. His task: discreetly pass on a crucial detection gadget to our allies. Unfortunately, the operation takes an unexpected turn, leaving Lin to engage with the world’s deadliest fighters and stand as the final barrier against a rapidly advancing global danger before time runs out.
Starting August 27, the action movie “The Lockdown”, rated R, can be rented or purchased digitally. This film is directed by Ryan Jaeger, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gross, Cameron Cubbison, and Stephen Niver. The lead roles are played by Caity Lotz, known for her work in Arrowverse, and Leo Howard from “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”. They will be supported by Michael Biehn and Hon Ping Tang.
The synopsis describes an action-packed thriller about siblings Charlie and Jack who find themselves wrongly imprisoned in one of Myanmar’s toughest penitentiaries. They are compelled to participate in brutal, televised battles where fellow inmates fight for the opportunity to be released from death row. Facing off against ruthless opponents in these deadly contests, every encounter could potentially be their last. In this perilous situation, they need to rely on each other as their relationship is stretched to its limits while navigating a dangerous game where only the most resilient can survive and secure their freedom.
