Marisa Tomei & Virginia Gardner to Star in Rom-Com Movie F**k Valentine’s Day

Actress Marisa Tomei, winner of an Academy Award (known for My Cousin Vinny and Spider-Man: No Way Home), and Virginia Gardner, a former star in Marvel’s Runaways series, have officially agreed to take the lead roles in an upcoming romantic comedy film titled Avoiding Valentine’s Day. In this movie, Tomei and Gardner will play a mother-daughter pair who embark on a birthday trip to Greece. The identities of the other cast members are yet to be disclosed, as casting is still ongoing.

What is F**k Valentine’s Day about?

The storyline revolves around Gina, who was born on the cherished Valentine’s Day, a day she despises. She plans to thwart her boyfriend’s intention of proposing during their birthday trip in Greece, a place significant to her lively mother. Seeking assistance from other vacationers, namely Johnny Giovinazzo and his bold sister Mickey, Gina attempts to postpone the proposal. In the process, she may come to realize that she could be with the wrong partner.

The film “Scornful of Valentine’s Day” will be helmed by director Mark Gantt, with a script penned by Steve Bencich. This production is being overseen by Nancy Leopardi at Indy Entertainment and John Ierardi and Bo Youngblood for Showdown Productions. Danielle Gasher, Arlie Day, and Mike Page are the executive producers. Gravitas Ventures has taken charge of worldwide distribution for this movie. It’s anticipated that filming will commence in Malta around next month.
