As a gamer with a heart for music and sports, I can hardly contain my excitement for this year’s Christmas Day festivities! The NFL and Netflix have truly outdone themselves by bringing together two queens of their respective domains – Mariah Carey and Beyoncé.
Wondering how Christmas might feel with Mariah Carey? Given the circumstances, it’s a question that may remain unanswered. Known as the Queen of Christmas, her festive tunes fill department stores and our computer speakers during online shopping, creating an immersive holiday experience. Excitingly for both her fans and NFL enthusiasts, Carey has teamed up with the NFL, making this season even more special!
Apart from the remarkable artists featured before and during the games (which we’ll discuss later), it has been announced that Carey is set to perform at the opening show for NFL Christmas Day on Netflix. She will be singing a pre-recorded version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You.
To be honest, whether Carey’s Christmas magic is real or pre-recorded doesn’t matter much to most of us. We enjoy listening to her holiday songs regardless, and it’s not as if Carey is personally serenading us in our homes. If she is, lucky you!
Mariah Carey will be featured on the show open for Netflix’s NFL Gameday on Christmas
Other music events also feature Beyoncé. Known as “Queen B”, she will perform during halftime of the Houston Texans versus Baltimore Ravens match. Since Beyoncé hails from Houston, it’s not too unexpected to see her at a Texans game. However, it’s quite impressive that Netflix managed to convince her to make an appearance on Christmas day.
If music isn’t your thing, don’t worry! There’s still something to look forward to. During the pre-game show, comedian Bert Kreischer will be joining NFL Christmas Gameday as a tailgate correspondent. Additionally, comedian Nate Bargatze will offer special commentary. If you asked Bargatze to host the entire pre-game show (excluding Mariah Carey’s segment, of course), he could have done it perfectly!
Essentially, if you’re a football fan who enjoys Netflix, Christmas day will offer a fantastic blend of enjoyment for you. The NFL games between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by the Ravens versus Texans, promise to be exciting. Additionally, the off-field entertainment is looking promising too.
