On Facebook, Gopy shared, “Dark humor and satire are fantastic elements in movies. It takes courage, particularly for a newcomer, to blend genres like this. Remarkably, the co-writer and director of the film, Sivaprasad, have successfully achieved this genre blending.

Maranamass, a darkly humorous movie, stars Basil Joseph as the main character. This film, marking Sivaprasad’s first directorial effort, is jointly produced by Tovino Thomas and his sibling under their production house, Tovino Thomas Productions.

The film centers on a murderer modeled after the true-crime figure known as Ripper Chandran. As he embarks on a violent rampage, various individuals – including a killer, a victim, a woman, her partner, and others – find themselves sharing the same bus. The narrative then continues, starting from this point.

Under Basil’s direction, this movie showcases a talented group of actors such as Anishma Anilkumar, Rajesh Madhavan, Babu Antony, Suresh Krishna, and Siju Sunny (known for Romancham), along with others in significant parts. The narrative is the work of Siju, who also collaborated on the scriptwriting process.

Additionally, actors Tovino Thomas and Guru Somasundaram make cameo appearances in the film.
