Manjummel Boys’ Sreenath Bhasi and Shine Tom Chacko questioned by police for hybrid cannabis case worth Rs 2 crore

In the town of Alappuzha, Kerala, Excise authorities questioned actors Sreenath Bhasi and Shine Tom Chacko, who are part of the Manjummel Boys group. The questioning was related to a recent drug seizure incident that occurred earlier this month.

Based on a statement from the main suspect, Christina, it was reported by India Today that the actors were called in for interrogation. According to Christina’s account, she and the actors had used cannabis together, which resulted in notices being issued to them.

In due course, Sreenath and Shine were released on bail at the police station. The primary suspect, Christina alias Tasleema Sultan, aged 41 and residing in Chennai, was a translator of scripts within the film industry. According to the report, the Excise team discovered approximately 3 kg of marijuana from her vehicle, along with a second suspect named Feroze.

As per a source, “It appears they’ve been frequently consuming marijuana for quite some time. Their visit to the apartment was apparently for a film discussion. Further investigation is necessary to determine the source they mentioned.

Previously, the directors of Alappuzha Gymkhana, Khalid Rahman and Ashraf Hamza, were detained by the Excise department in Kochi for holding a type of cannabis called hybrid ganja.

Alternatively, Shine Tom Chacko has been in the limelight lately following his arrest by the authorities due to accusations of drug possession. Reports have emerged suggesting that he allegedly used drugs and exhibited inappropriate behavior towards his co-star during a film production.

After his detainment, the actor got freed on bond. Noteworthy organizations within the film industry, such as A.M.M.A., promptly enacted appropriate measures against him following his release.
