Lately, the actor Siddique stepped down from his position as general secretary of the actors’ association due to accusations of inappropriate behavior. Additionally, similar allegations have surfaced against other artists such as Mukesh, Jayasurya, Ranjith, among others.

Beyond the startling events unfolding in the movie world, I’ve been deeply concerned about the findings of the Hema Committee report that shed light on the challenging circumstances faced by fellow actresses within our industry. It’s a reality we can no longer ignore.

The 2018 film, titled “Everyone is a Hero,” was an edge-of-your-seat survival thriller boasting an ensemble cast that included Kunchacko Boban, Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Narain, Lal, Aparna Balamurali, Tanvi Ram, and several other notable actors in significant roles.

The movie is set around the devastating floods in Kerala in 2018, portraying the heart-wrenching consequences a natural disaster can inflict on ordinary citizens. It was submitted as India’s representative to the Oscars but didn’t make it to the final round. Remarkably, this film became the fourth Malayalam production to be considered for an Academy Award nomination, following in the footsteps of Guru, Adaminte Makan Abu, and Jallikattu.
