Malayalam actor Siddique sexual abuse case: Special Investigation Team finds strong evidence; REPORTS

Last year towards the end, Malayalam actor Siddique became a subject of controversy. This was following the release of the Justice Hema Committee report that caused quite a stir within the Malayalam film industry. Subsequently, charges were brought against the veteran actor due to an incident where he reportedly lured a young actress under false pretenses to a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram and was accused of sexual misconduct.

A team has been designated to investigate a specific issue, and according to recent updates from Manorama Online, the police have amassed substantial proof implicating the actor from Neru. The authorities stated that they hold this actor accountable due to the incriminating evidence they’ve obtained.

Additionally, as detailed in the chargesheet, Siddique allegedly lured the actress to the Mascot Hotel in Thiruvananthapuram with a supposed film meeting, but his intentions were not honorable throughout. An earlier court document stated that the veteran actor had sexually assaulted the actress in their hotel room, and this incident is also mentioned in the most recent report.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) found supporting evidence indicating that the actress had previously spoken out about the sexual assault, well before the Justice Hema Committee’s report was released. According to the report, Siddique reportedly made threats against the actress, claiming that no one would believe her due to her lack of recognition in the film industry at the time and her perceived insignificance compared to him. The SIT stated they will submit their report to the court as soon as they receive approval from their superiors at the Crime Branch.

The Security and Investigation Team strongly asserts that Siddique was indeed responsible for the sexual misconduct allegations brought against him. According to the accusation, the occurrence transpired on January 28th, 2016, during her visit to Thiruvananthapuram for the debut screening of Sukhamayirikkatte at the film festival. As outlined in the court document, there are both verbal statements and digital proof indicating that Siddique was present at the hotel on that day.

According to accounts, the actress consulted a doctor in Kochi following the incident, and shared details about the claimed sexual assault with them. The investigative team has stated that this doctor has since provided their statement on the matter.

The defense team of Siddique argues that the actress waited eight years without lodging a complaint with the Justice Hema Committee, and her actor’s name was not implicated in any Facebook posts where she expressed similar concerns.

Based on their findings, it’s clear that Siddique has a substantial amount of incriminating evidence against him. The Special Investigation Team plans to present this evidence confidently in court.
