Recently, Malavika Mohanan shared in an interview with Curly Tales that she regrets not having the chance to work with Prabhas in the film Salaar. In this conversation, the Petta actress discussed her past missed opportunity, despite being a fan of Prabhas.
In our chat, the actress expressed, “I’m really fond of Baahubali, and I adore both parts 1 and 2. Ever since then, I’ve had a dream to work with Prabhas. When the project Salaar was being developed, director Prasanth Neel wanted to discuss potential roles with me because he wanted me for the film.”
The actress went on to explain how her personal views mirrored her life experiences, creating a surprisingly fitting situation for her. She added, “I’m quite fond of Prabhas, and if Salaar had come through, it would have marked my entrance into Telugu cinema. Regrettably, things didn’t pan out as planned.
Later on, Malavika shared that only a few short months had passed when she received the call regarding The Raja Saab – another film by Prabhas. This seemingly coincidental occurrence, she noted, felt like the universe arranging for her debut in Telugu alongside the Baahubali star himself.
During the same interview, she mentioned that the film represents a unique genre and style for her, specifically a blend of horror and romantic comedy.
Moving onto the upcoming film featuring Prabhas, titled “The Raja Saab,” this Maruthi-directed production promises a visual spectacle due to its extensive use of VFX. Intriguingly, the storyline may present Prabhas in two distinct roles, while Nidhhi Agerwal joins him as a leading actress. Originally slated for release in April 2025, recent reports suggest that the film’s premiere has been postponed to an unspecified future date. The official announcement regarding its new release date is yet to be announced.
Next up, you may recall that Prabhas recently appeared as the main character in the time-traveling film titled Kalki 2898 AD. In this movie, he shared the screen with acting legends like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan.
In simpler terms, the science fiction movie Nag Ashwin helmed is deeply connected to the ancient Indian epic, the Mahabharata, and its figures. Meanwhile, Prabhas is actively working on a historical film under the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi.
