Major Update on Big E’s Role in WWE After The New Day Breakup

As Big E, I find myself standing tall amidst the ruins of my once-unbreakable bond with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, The New Day that was. The betrayal they inflicted on me still stings like a thousand hot coals to my heart, but I’ve always been a man who faces adversity head-on.

Big E has kept a low profile following the betrayal by his teammates from The New Day – Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in WWE. However, on the December 2 episode of WWE RAW, The New Day marked their ten-year anniversary, but the celebration took an unexpected twist.

The relationship between Kingston and Woods had been growing more strained, and Big E came back in an attempt to bring harmony. Unfortunately, his actions only intensified the conflict as Kingston and Woods attacked him, claiming he neglected The New Day for personal matters. This unexpected act of treachery left fans speechless and Big E heartbroken. Even though Kingston and Woods made up following their attack on Big E, spectators have remained unforgiving. They’ve jeered both men in arenas, dismissing their explanations and showing no interest in listening to them.

During the most recent installment of WWE RAW, Kingston and Woods placed responsibility on commentators Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett, alleging unfair reporting against them. In fact, even Kingston’s mother, who was present at the event, stormed out when Kingston attempted to show affection towards her.

The backlash hasn’t come only from fans. Several WWE Superstars have also condemned Kingston and Woods for their actions. Dominik Mysterio, who often faces heat from the crowd, even sided against them. While Kingston and Woods continue to justify their betrayal, Big E has remained silent. Amid this turmoil, WWE announced that Big E would be hosting an upcoming series on Netflix called RAW Classics.

WWE announces RAW Classics, a new series hosted by Big E

Prior to WWE’s highly anticipated transition to Netflix in 2025, the streaming service has announced an engaging lineup for fans. As reported by PWInsider.com, this collection includes The Road to WrestleMania 41 through RAW, WWE Superstar and Legends Profiles, as well as WWE Top 10: RAW Edition. Moreover, the offering encompasses RAW Classics, a series led by Big E that will also feature CM Punk, Becky Lynch, and Triple H, showcasing some of the most memorable moments from RAW’s past history.

For the first time since The New Day’s surprising betrayal of Big E, fans will get a glimpse of him. Unfortunately, as of now, we don’t know when these shows will air on Netflix. It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Big E speaks about The New Day’s shocking act or decides to stay quiet following the show’s release.
