Mahesh Babu as Mufasa in the Lion King Telugu Trailer

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the jungles of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I eagerly await the release of “Mufasa: The Lion King” on December 20, 2024. Having grown up with Simba and his tale, I am intrigued by this prequel that delves into Mufasa’s life.

As an ardent admirer, I’m thrilled to share that on December 20, 2024, theaters will bring to life “Mufasa: The Lion King” – a captivating prequel in Disney’s esteemed Lion King series! Unlike its 2019 counterpart, which centered around Simba, the young lion prince and Mufasa’s son, this movie delves into the untold tale of Mufasa’s ascension to become the mighty ruler of the jungle. I can hardly wait!

The trailer, released by Walt Disney Studios, has already generated impressive attention. The film will be available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Mahesh Babu voices Mufasa in the new The Lion King Telugu trailer

A few days back, Walt Disney Studios India unveiled the Telugu version of The Lion King’s trailer starring Mufasa, with popular actor Mahesh Babu providing his voice for Mufasa in this language. In addition to Mahesh Babu, comedian Brahmanandam will voice Pumbaa, and Ali has been cast as Timon. Fans of Mahesh Babu are excited about this news and can’t wait to catch his portrayal of Mufasa in the cinema.

Mahesh Babu shared his enthusiasm on social media platforms like Twitter, posting: “I’m thrilled to enter a fresh aspect of a cherished character! I can hardly wait to voice Mufasa in Telugu. As an ardent admirer of this timeless classic, this opportunity is truly unique for me – hail the king!”

In the Hindi adaptation, Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan have been cast to voice Mufasa and Simba respectively. Meanwhile, Abram Khan will voice Young Mufasa. Sanjay Mishra has been chosen for Pumbaa’s role, while Shreyas Talpade will voice Timon. Notably, Shah Rukh and Aryan have previously lent their voices to the franchise in the 2019 film, The Lion King.

It’s intriguing to anticipate the movie’s performance at the ticket sales and if it can match or even surpass the achievements of The Lion King (2019) in terms of success.
