Following the tremendous success of his latest movie “Raayan,” there’s been a lot of buzz among Dhanush fans about his upcoming project. Given that he has numerous intriguing projects like “Kubera” in development, it appears another captivating tale is set to join the lineup.
According to recent whispers, it seems that Nikhilan Swaminathan, the director of Vijay Sethupathi’s Netflix film Maharaja, has allegedly presented a captivating script for a fresh project to Dhanush. Nevertheless, no official word on this matter has been given as of now.
Additionally, it was made clear in the report that the rumored project between Nikhilan and popular actress Nayanthara, which he was previously associated with, will not bear the title “Maharani”, as had been widely speculated.
At present, Dhanush is deeply engrossed in the promotion phase for his upcoming directorial venture titled NEEK. This movie is scheduled to premiere in cinemas on October 14, 2024. Interestingly, this project holds a personal significance for Dhanush as his son, Yathra, has written the hook line for the song Golden Sparrow within the film.
Speaking about Dhanush’s latest film Rayaan, it has been a blockbuster success at the box office and garnered immense affection from viewers. The actor’s sculpted figure on screen, coupled with his unique portrayal of the character, has captured the hearts of many movie enthusiasts.
Rayaan boasts a stellar cast featuring several notable personalities from Tamil and Telugu film industries, including SJ Suryah, Selvaraghavan, Kalidas Jayram, Sundeep Kishan, Prakash Raj, and numerous others.
Continuing forward, he was set to star in the film titled “Kubera,” where veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni also played a crucial part alongside him. The movie is helmed by director Sekhar Kammula and its female lead is none other than Rashmika Mandanna.
On July 5th, 2024, creators of Kubera revealed a sneak peek at Rashmika’s character from the movie. In this preview, the actress is depicted battling a tough hurdle by unearthing a hidden secret beneath the ground. The subtle expression on her face amidst the mysterious circumstances has sparked great anticipation among fans for the film.
Kubera is expected to hit the theaters on December 31, 2024.
