A preview for “Magazine Dreams,” the upcoming dramatic film featuring Jonathan Majors, is now available to view.
The recently created movie titled “Magazine Dreams,” helmed by director Elijah Bynum, is set to hit U.S. theaters in March. The film features Majors portraying the role of a determined bodybuilder called Killian Maddox.

What happens in the Magazine Dreams trailer?
In the preview for the film “Dreams,” Major’s character is fixated on achieving global fame as a professional bodybuilder. To reach this goal, Killian subjects himself to intense training and progressively detaches from society.
In addition to the main characters, Magazine Dreams features Haley Bennett (Swallow, The Magnificent Seven), Taylour Paige (Zola, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F), Mike O’Hearn, Harrison Page, Harriet Sansom Harris, and several others.
In this production, Bynum penned the screenplay. Jennifer Fox, Dan Gilroy, Jeffrey Soros, and Simon Horsman took on the roles of producers. Majors joined them as an executive producer, with Luke Rodgers and Andrew Blau also serving in that capacity.
The movie titled “Magazine Dreams” made its debut at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. A month later, Searchlight Pictures, a division of Walt Disney Studios, purchased it. The film was scheduled for release in December 2023; however, following Majors’ conviction for domestic assault in October 2023, Disney decided to cancel its release date.
In October 2024, the filmmaking team regained control over their movie rights from Searchlight, while Briarcliff Entertainment secured the U.S. distribution rights for Magazine Dreams.
Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Briarcliff, shared through Entertainment Weekly that “Magazine Dreams” is a powerful journey that pushes the boundaries of understanding ambition and self-image. He added that Elijah’s film, which made a significant impact at Sundance, will be distributed by Briarcliff for nationwide cinema release in early 2025.
Magazine Dreams will now be released in United States theaters on March 21, 2025.
