As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the hype surrounding EA’s College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25 releases has me reminiscing about the good old days of playing Madden on my trusty old PlayStation. The anticipation is palpable, and with Andrew Wilson claiming that Madden 25 will be their best game yet, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgic excitement.
Just as a highly-anticipated top talent from high school, EA’s sensational College Football 25 launch has kept everyone watching closely. With praise pouring in from all corners of the sports gaming world, its sibling game, Madden 25, could potentially reap the benefits. It’s worth noting that Madden is already a well-established powerhouse in the sports game industry. However, EA CEO Andrew Wilson hasn’t dampened excitement by stating that “Madden 25 will be the best Madden we’ve ever produced.”
In the aftermath of our Q1 2025 earnings call, I can’t help but express my awe once more. The teams never cease to astonish me, pushing boundaries with an array of fresh game modes and play styles, not to mention the influx of new players joining our community courtesy of College Football. This influx offers an exciting avenue for these budding stars – if they haven’t already grabbed the MVP bundle – to transition seamlessly from College to Madden. It’s remarkable how both games coexist, each adding its unique value despite their similarities in gameplay.
If you’re not already in the know, the MVP package Wilson mentioned offers you two games: Madden NFL 25 and College Football 25. In addition to these games, you’ll receive extra perks such as early access for the former and Ultimate Team items for the latter. Keep in mind though, this bundle comes at a higher price tag of $149.99 on both PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
Wilson concluded by disclosing that “Madden’s pre-orders are doing exceptionally well,” suggesting his assertion that this could be their “best” product yet might prove accurate. For now, we’ll have to wait and see if it manages to meet the high expectations or struggles under the limelight.
Without getting mixed up with its identically titled predecessor from 2013, the launch date for Madden NFL 25 is fast approaching. Unlike College Football 25, it will remain playable on both older and newer gaming systems, such as the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and personal computers.
