Vishnu Manchu, an actor and head of the Movie Artistes Association (MAA), recently posted a heartfelt plea on his social media account. He respectfully requested the government leaders of Telangana, including the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Minister of Cinematography, to create a special committee whose main focus would be ensuring the safety and well-being of women in the Telugu film industry

In his remarks, the actor emphasized the significance of establishing a secure and nurturing workspace for all individuals, particularly women, within the entertainment industry. This includes not only those in on-camera roles, but also those working off-camera who deserve a safe environment as well

Vishnu Manchu emphasized that MAA prioritizes ensuring women’s safety above all, which is a key focus for their organization

As the President of MAA, I have officially asked the Honorable Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and Cinematography Minister of Telangana to create a commission focused on improving safety and representation of women within the Telugu Film Industry. Our main goal is to provide a safe space for everyone, whether in front or behind the camera
