Lucky Cast: Annette Bening Joins Anya Taylor-Joy Apple TV+ Show

Actress Annette Bening, who was previously nominated for an Academy Award, has now agreed to be part of the cast for Apple TV+’s upcoming crime drama series titled “Lucky”. The show is adapted from Marissa Stapley’s successful novel with the same name. In this role, Bening will bring to life the character of Priscilla, a formidable mob boss.

The television series narrates a story about a woman who abandoned her criminal upbringing long ago. However, due to an urgent need to flee from her past, she is compelled to revisit and utilize her hidden criminal abilities one last time.

Who will lead the Lucky cast?

In her initial TV role after over four years since the successful miniseries “The Queen’s Gambit” on Netflix, Anya Taylor-Joy will take the lead in a new crime drama titled “Lucky”. The series is being developed and supervised by Jonathan Tropper (“The Adam Project”), who will also act as its showrunner alongside Cassie Pappas.

Beyond just starring in it, Emma Corinne Taylor-Joy is also serving as an executive producer on the project through her LadyKiller production company. She’s joined by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter from Hello Sunshine for this role. This miniseries is part of Tropper’s overall agreement with Apple TV+.

Taylor-Joy’s newest project is a partnership with Apple TV+ following their work in the upcoming genre-blending sci-fi film “The Gorge.” In addition to this, she is slated to star as the lead in the Netflix thriller series “How to Kill Your Family,” adapted from Bella Mackie’s 2021 bestselling novel of the same title. Following this, Taylor-Joy will appear in the action adventure comedy film “Sacrifice” alongside Chris Evans and Salma Hayek.
