Lucky Baskhar OTT Release: Here’s when and where you can watch Dulquer Salmaan, Meenakshi Chaudhary’s period crime drama

As a die-hard fan of Dulquer Salmaan, I can’t help but feel elated with the news that his latest masterpiece, Lucky Baskhar, is now streaming worldwide on Netflix! Having grown up in Kerala, I have been witness to DQ’s journey from the small screen to the silver one, and it’s truly heartening to see him scale such great heights.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Diwali debut, “Lucky Baskhar,” enjoyed an exceptional success at the box office. This period crime drama showcased the actor’s range as he portrayed a complex character, and the captivating plotline kept viewers engrossed until the very end. With its blockbuster performance at the box office, “Lucky Baskhar” is now ready for digital release.

On the platform now known as X (previously Twitter), Netflix revealed that Lucky Baskhar will stream globally on their streaming service starting November 28, 2024. The film will offer viewers a choice of five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.

Previously mentioned, the streaming date for the movie was set as November 30. However, it appears that viewers can now anticipate watching it from November 28 instead.

In other words, the film directed by Venky Atluri represents DQ’s third movie in Telugu, following his memorable performances in Mahanati and Sita Ramam.

According to recent global box office figures, Lucky Baskhar has been on a successful run, outpacing earnings of over 80 million rupees, placing it high in international rankings.

The movie’s storyline unfolds in the 1980s, a time marked by distinct social and economic classes. The lead character, played by Dulquer Salmaan, is a typical, middle-income banker trying hard to balance his income and expenses.

His diligent work efforts being disregarded frequently creates feelings of aggravation within him, pushing him to take decisive action and delve into the murky world of money laundering on his own.

Instead, seeking a fast income, he finds nothing but chaos that flips his life completely around.

The film “Lucky Baskhar” is financially supported by both Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. On the festival of Diwali, which fell on October 31 this year, it was launched alongside several other films. Critics have given it favorable reviews as well.

In addition to DQ and Meenakshi, the film’s cast also features Ramki, Surya Sreenivas, Sachin Khedekar, Tinnu Anand, Maanasa Choudhary, Sarvadaman D. Banerjee, along with several other talented actors.
