In 2022, the movie “Love Today,” featuring Pradeep Ranganathan, made its way to theaters, unexpectedly garnering immense popularity. The buzz and enthusiasm surrounding the film led to a remake in Bollywood under the title “Loveyapa” in 2025.

In this Hindi-language adaptation of the film, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor star as the main characters, portraying Gaurav Sachdeva, also known as Gucci, and Baani Sharma respectively. Here’s a glimpse at how the movie offers various conclusions to keep you intrigued.

The movie “Loveyapa” tells the tale of a passionate couple who, much like many young couples today, find themselves immersed in their smartphones more often than not. When their romance becomes known to Baani’s father, he proposes an intriguing test: they should swap phones for a day to see if their relationship can withstand this separation. If they manage to pass the challenge, he promises to approve of Gaurav as a potential son-in-law.

Ever since the switchboard was set up between us, I’ve been cautious not to pry too much at first. But curiosity got the best of me and Gaurav, Baani, and I started uncovering hidden truths about each other. As our relationship became a whirlwind of chaos, these revelations led to a series of hilarious situations that pushed our bond to its limits. Through it all, we were tested to the max, and our loyalty was put to the ultimate test.

As they approach the finish line, tensions arise between Gaurav and Baani. But the situation takes an unexpected turn when a fake video of Baani in a sensitive position spreads rapidly online.

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, when not even Baani’s father could vouch for her innocence regarding the fake video, she chose to flee from home. It was then that a concerned Gaurav set out to find her, and luckily, her friends managed to capture the true culprit who had fabricated the deepfake video of Baani.

After identifying the true perpetrator, Gaurav and Baani were back together because Gaurav was the one who had faithfully stood by her during difficult times. Given these circumstances, Baani’s father also welcomed Gaurav as Baani’s partner.

Instead, Love Today shares the same conclusion as well, but with a stronger emotional bond formed between characters Uthaman and Nikitha.

After they are welcomed by his father and she is accepted by his mother, their official union is sealed in the closing scene through a traditional matching ceremony. When Nikitha’s father and Uthaman’s mother meet for the first time, he playfully proposes an exchange of phone numbers between them, hinting at another exciting journey ahead.
