Universal Pictures has unveiled a fresh behind-the-scenes video titled “Love Hurts” for their upcoming action thriller. This film features Ke Huy Quan, the Academy Award winner, stepping into his first significant leading role since 2022’s smash hit “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The movie is set to premiere in cinemas on February 7, 2025.

What happens in the Love Hurts BTS video?

The video offers viewers an exclusive glimpse into the making of certain thrilling scenes from the film, with Quan sharing his personal feelings towards it. Furthermore, Quan shared insights into the grueling preparations he endured to execute his stunts effectively.

The movie chronicles the story of Marvin Gable, a realtor in Milwaukee’s suburbs where ‘For Sale’ signs are abundant. He receives a blood-red envelope from Rose, an old partner who he believed was dead. She isn’t pleased. Now, Marvin finds himself back in a dangerous underworld full of treacherous assassins and real estate open houses transformed into lethal battlegrounds. His violent brother Knuckles, a crime boss, is on the hunt for him, forcing Marvin to face his past regrets and unburied history.

Love Hurts” is helmed by experienced stunt and fight choreographer JoJo Eusebio from a script penned by Matthew Murray, Josh Stoddard, and Luke Passmore. The movie features Ariana DeBose (West Side Story), Daniel Wu (Tomb Raider), Marshawn “Beast Mode” Lynch (Bottoms), Mustafa Shakir (Emancipation), Lio Tipton (Lucy), Rhys Darby (Jumanji: The Next Level), André Eriksen (Violent Night) and Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy). Kelly McCormick and David Leitch produce, with Ben Orman serving as an executive producer.
