Looney Tunes Movie Release Date Delayed as The Day The Earth Blew Up Shifts

The Looney Tunes film titled “The Day the Earth Exploded: A Looney Tunes Production” has experienced a slight postponement, as the initial launch date has been moved back by a few weeks.

When is the new Looney Tunes movie release date?

The studio’s spokespeople informed ComingSoon that the film’s premiere has been postponed. It will now be screened on March 14, 2025, which is a shift from its initial date of February 28. This change grants the movie an additional two weeks before its new release.

In a thrilling comeback to the silver screen, the legendary comic pair, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck, find themselves in an unexpected heroic role when they must save Earth from an impending alien attack. This animated sci-fi adventure is a grand tale, beautifully crafted with otherworldly grandeur, filled with side-splitting jokes, stunning graphics, and the cherished characters that define the Looney Tunes as timeless icons.

In this movie, you’ll find actors like Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, Peter MacNicol, Wayne Knight, and Laraine Newman lending their voices.

Initially intended for Max, the movie ultimately turned out to be a financial flop for the company. Warner Bros. Animation was granted permission to market the film to other studios. After its debut at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2024, it was later acquired by Ketchup Entertainment.

The screenplay was penned by a team that includes Browngardt, Darrick Bachman, Kevin Costello, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, Alex Kirwan, Ryan Kramer, Jason Reicher, Michael Ruocco, Johnny Ryan, and Eddie Trigueros. Warner Bros. Animation is responsible for the production, with both Browngardt and Sam Register acting as executive producers.
