Filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj is discussing plans for a separate film featuring one of his LCU characters, Rolex, which will be portrayed by the talented Suriya. This character was initially introduced in the movie “Vikram,” starring Kamal Haasan, and Lokesh has now shared some exciting news about it with fans.
At the Rohini Fort theater in Chennai, where the director Lokesh Kanagaraj watched Suriya’s latest film, Retro on its opening day, he was quickly swarmed by enthusiastic fans upon leaving the theater. There, someone asked him to share his ideas for the upcoming movie titled Rolex.
Regarding collaborating with Suriya on the major project, he stated, “Absolutely, there’s a collaboration in the works… The exact timing isn’t set yet, but when it happens, we’ll fulfill our obligations and definitely join forces. My next venture is Kaithi 2.”
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but feel elated by Lokesh’s recent remark. It appears that both Lokesh Kanagaraj and Suriya have the prestigious Rolex project lined up for them. However, we fans will have to wait until Suriya completes his upcoming venture Kaithi 2, featuring Karthi, before this eagerly anticipated movie gets underway.
Presently, the filmmaker is eagerly awaiting a major launch on August 14, featuring Rajinikanth in the lead role for the film “Coolie”. This multi-talented production boasts an impressive cast including Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, among others, who play significant roles.
Only recently, Lokesh Kanagaraj shared that he’s taking a brief hiatus from social media, stating he won’t return until the promotions for Coolie get underway.

According to the initial feedback from viewers, the movie met its expectations in terms of performance.
