A Netflix series featuring actress Lizzy Caplan, known for roles in A24’s crisis PR show “Mean Girls” and “Cobweb,” is now available. This development comes as Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, co-stars from “It Ends With Us,” are embroiled in a legal dispute. The attention drawn to Baldoni’s crisis PR firm due to its involvement in the ongoing drama has brought the field into public focus.
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that the upcoming untitled project is being developed by A24, with Halley Feiffer, Marti Noxon’s Tiny Pyro Productions, Vox Media Studios, and Caplan’s Westborn banner all contributing. If things go as planned, A24 will be the studio behind this potential show.
What will Lizzy Caplan’s A24 crisis PR show be about?
As a gamer, I’m thrilled about the upcoming TV show, inspired by Shawn McCreesh’s New York Magazine article on Risa Heller, a top-notch crisis PR pro. It seems this series has caught the attention of streaming titans like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu! According to Deadline, the unnamed crisis PR drama will revolve around the life of “New York’s go-to crisis fixer (Caplan), who assists A-list clients through their darkest hours while keeping her own picture-perfect life as a contented mother of three intact – without any personal crises to worry about.
The project is set to be penned by Feiffer, who will additionally take on the role of showrunner. Alongside Feiffer, Noxon, Maria Grasso from Tiny Pyro, Caplan, Tom Riley through Westborn Pictures, Scoop Wasserstein, and Jess Lubben will serve as executive producers for the prospective series.
Known primarily for her role as Janis Ian in the 2004 teen movie Mean Girls, Caplan has also appeared in several films and TV shows such as Master of Sex, Cloverfield, The Interview, Party Down, Save the Date, Bachelorette, Fleishman is in Trouble, Castle Rock, and Now You See Me 2.

Currently, the actress is featured in the Netflix political thriller “Zero Day,” working alongside Robert De Niro. Previously, she has appeared in films like “Fatal Attraction,” “Inside Job,” “Truth Be Told,” “True Blood,” “The Class,” “The Pitts,” “The People We Hate at the Wedding,” “Extinction,” “The Night Before,” “Queens of Country,” “Save the Date,” and “The Last Rites of Ransom Pride” among others.
