Bertellman is an internationally-acclaimed pianist, composer, and experimental musician. He won an Academy Award in 2023 for his work on the score of All Quiet on the Western Front. His latest work comes on director Edward Berger’s Conclave, and he has also worked on other projects like Patrick Melrose, The Old Guard, Stowaway, Life After Life, and Black Mirror.

A solitary and hard-to-catch assassin known as the Jackal, portrayed by Eddie Redmayne, earns his living by executing contracts for top dollar. However, after completing his latest assignment, he encounters a relentless British intelligence agent (Lashana Lynch), who begins to pursue the Jackal in an exhilarating game of cat and mouse that spans across Europe, causing chaos in its path.
Ronan Bennett is the creator of this series, working alongside Brian Kirk who also directs it. Additionally, Redmayne, Gareth Neame and Nigel Marchant from Carnival Films, Sam Hoyle from Sky Studios, and Sue Naegle are all executive producers. Lynch plays a role as co-executive producer, while Chris Hall serves as a producer, and Frederick Forsyth assists in a consulting role.
