As a die-hard Telugu cinema fan, I’m thrilled about the lineup for August! It seems like a veritable feast for Telugu-speaking movie enthusiasts, with an array of exciting films from some of our industry’s top stars gracing the silver screen this month. From Allu Sirish’s Buddy to Ram Pothineni’s Double iSmart, and not forgetting Nani’s Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, there’s a diverse range of genres to cater to every taste. I can hardly wait!

The list of Telugu movies releasing in August 2024 is below:

Buddy

Actor Allu Sirish from Telugu cinema will appear in the upcoming movie titled Buddy, a blend of drama, action, and comedy. Originally planned for release on July 26, the date has now been pushed back to August 2. Penned and directed by Sam Anton, this film is an official adaptation of the Tamil movie Teddy.

Magic

As a long-time admirer of Telugu cinema, I am genuinely excited about the upcoming release of the film “Magic.” With its talented cast and promising director Gowtam Tinnanuri at the helm, this movie looks set to be an engaging watch. One actress in particular who catches my eye is Sara Arjun, who has already made a name for herself in the Ponniyin Selvan film franchise. It’s intriguing to see her stepping into the role of a leading actress for the first time, and I can’t wait to witness her growth as an artist on the big screen. All in all, “Magic” is a title that has certainly piqued my interest, and I eagerly anticipate its arrival in theaters this month.

The storyline revolves around four ambitious high school students working tirelessly to compose an unique tune for their university’s festival. Set to release in theaters on August 14, 2024.

Double iSmart

Following a prolonged pause, Ram Pothineni is poised for another brilliant stint on the big screen with Double iSmart. He will once more embody the character of Shankar, as this film signifies the continuation of the hit 2019 movie iSmart Shankar.

Puri Jagannadh takes on dual roles as director and co-producer for this upcoming film alongside Charmme Kaur. The movie will be simultaneously released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi languages. In addition to Pothineni, Sanjay Dutt plays the main villain, while Kavya Thapar stars as the leading lady. This action-packed story revolves around the notorious character Shankar and his latest escapades.

Double iSmart is set to hit the theaters following several delays on August 15, 2024.

Mr Bachchan

In simple terms, Amitabh Bachchan is highly anticipated for his role in an upcoming Telugu film starring Ravi Teja. Fans are thrilled because it’s his second project this year. The film, directed by Harish Shankar, is generating a lot of excitement. The movie is being produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory.

For those unfamiliar, the forthcoming film is the authorized Telugu adaptation of Ajay Devgn’s 2018 movie titled “Raid.” Notably, this film is inspired by real-life occurrences and centers around a raid conducted at a political figure’s residence.

Mr Bachchan is also hitting the theaters on August 15, 2024.

35 Chinna Katha Kaadu

“35 Chinna Katha Kaadu, a heartwarming Telugu film, is scheduled to hit theaters on August 15, 2024. This movie is directed by Nanda Kishore Emani and features key performances from actors like Nivetha Thomas, Vishwadev, Arun Dev, and Abhay.”
