As a devoted fan of Disney’s The Lion King franchise since its 1994 animated debut, I can’t help but feel a surge of nostalgia upon hearing Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s wish for a live-action remake of The Lion King 1½. Having grown up with Timon and Pumbaa’s antics and their hilarious take on the events behind the scenes of The Lion King, I can’t help but agree with Miranda that this underrated gem is indeed “the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern of the extended Lion King universe.

Prepare for a rollercoaster of laughter with every outrageously funny scene.
