As a passionate fan, I can’t help but reminisce about the electrifying moment when Neowiz’s action RPG masterpiece, Lies of P, burst onto the scene in 2023. Fast forward to 2025, and the excitement is still palpable as we learn that this captivating game will soon be receiving a DLC! Here’s what we know so far:
1st thing: The DLC titled “Lies of P: Overture” requires the base game to play. Currently scheduled for release in summer 2025, the exact launch date is yet to be determined. Unlike the main game, this DLC will only be available on PlayStation consoles, namely the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5 Pro.
A First Look At The Life of P DLC
In the game “Lies of P: Overture“, you’re transported to Krat during its heyday in the late 19th century Belle Époque era, thanks to an old artifact. Taking on the role of Geppetto’s deadly puppet, your mission is to track a legendary Stalker. As the Puppet Frenzy nears, you begin to uncover the city’s heartrending mysteries. The choices you make in the past have repercussions in both the present and the past, revealing concealed truths and setting off significant events.

A “Developers’ Cut”
In a blog post on the PlayStation platform, game director Jiwon Choi gives an introduction to the game “Overture” and explains the inspirations that led to its initial conception.
There’s a term in movie making known as a “director’s cut.” This version differs from an initial theatrical release and usually includes additional footage the filmmaker believes perfects the work. With Lies of P: Overture I wonder if we subconsciously aimed to create a “developers’ cut” of Lies of P. – Jiwon Choi
Essentially, this expansion offers insight into the backstory of the catastrophic incidents in the primary game, enhancing the narrative further. Additionally, it’s rumored to introduce some novel aspects, but specifics remain undisclosed at this time.
