Lethal Weapon 4K Release Date: You Won’t Believe When!

Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment has set a 4K release date for the timeless action-thriller “Lethal Weapon,” starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover. In this 1987 film, they played police officers who joined forces to combat an evil international crime syndicate.

Danny Glover portrays a meticulous homicide detective who boasts a flawless record and a content family. Gibson, on the other hand, stars as a troubled LAPD officer, grieving from the loss of his wife and exhibiting erratic behavior. 4K Ultra HD and 4K UHD Blu-ray versions of the classic movie “Lethal Weapon” are now set for sale starting June 24th. Both editions will offer both the original 1987 theater release and the Director’s Cut from 2000. With almost four decades passed since its initial release, the film continues to hold a Certified Fresh rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. Given its enduring critical and commercial success, it spawned a series of three sequels and a TV adaptation based on the buddy cop genre.
