Earlier during the episode, Macy, who was delving into the mystery surrounding Hernandez’s demise, had interrogated me about the weapon’s location. However, I stubbornly upheld my claim of innocence until the weight of my actions became too much to bear on my conscience. It was then that I chose to confess and reveal to Macy that indeed, it was I who pulled the trigger on Hernandez, surrendering the rifle into her hands.

In a private poolside encounter with Lala, just before he was about to kiss her, Gibbs unexpectedly revealed that he had given his gun to Macy. Rushing to Macy’s residence immediately, Lala managed to persuade her to abandon the case. Initially hesitant, Macy ultimately agreed, which in turn spared Gibbs from a potential prison sentence. Following this, the show delivered a heart-wrenching finale.

As Lala is heading to Gibbs to share her encounter with Macy, she meets an unfortunate accident while swerving to protect a child on the road.
