Netflix has revealed that the much-anticipated romantic comedy, produced by Golden Globe winner Lena Dunham, is set to premiere on the specified date. The show will be headlined by Emmy nominee Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) and Megan Stalter (Hacks).
The show “Too Much” was developed and overseen by Lena Dunham and her husband Luis Felber. In addition to this, Dunham also penned the script and directed it. This marks her first significant role as a TV creator since she worked on the HBO series “Camping,” seven years ago. The executive producers of the show are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones, and Bruce Eric Kaplan, with Camilla Bray serving as the producer.
As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about an upcoming series that catches my eye – “Too Much,” a fresh take brought to life by the brilliant minds behind Bridget Jones’s Diary! Mark your calendars for July 10th, as this captivating production makes its grand debut. The stellar cast includes Meg Stalter and Will Sharpe, so get ready for a rollercoaster of emotions!

When is the Too Much release date?
On July 10, 2025, the series “Too Much” will begin streaming, available only on Netflix. Apart from Sharpe and Stalter, the star-studded cast comprises Michael Zegan, Janicza Bravo, Richard E. Grant, Rita Wilson, Naomi Watts, Andrew Rannells, Rhea Perlman, Emily Ratajkowski, and Adwoa Aboah. This production is a joint effort from Universal International Studios, A Working Title Television, and Good Thing Going Production.
Jessica Stalter, a 30-something workaholic from New York, is dealing with the aftermath of a relationship ending and pushing away her friends. Her life story seems to be etched on every street corner in New York City. To escape her past, she accepts a job in London, hoping to live a secluded life like one of the Brontë sisters. However, when she encounters Felix Sharpe – not your typical Notting Hill-type Hugh Grant, but more like Hugh Grant’s boisterous flatmate – her unconventional bond with him becomes hard to ignore, despite causing more issues than resolutions.
They now ponder: are American English and British English truly one and the same? The makers behind Girls and Love Actually present Too Much, a romantic comedy for those who have lost faith in love, yet yearn for its existence.
