As a dedicated Formula 1 enthusiast, I was thrilled to be part of the historic 75th anniversary celebration. The LEGO Group outdid themselves by crafting brick-built trophies for the top three drivers and winning constructor at the 2025 British Grand Prix held at Silverstone. With McLaren’s Lando Norris taking the checkered flag, these one-of-a-kind LEGO awards were presented to him, his teammate Oscar Piastri who finished in second place, and KICK Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg who claimed third position. What a fantastic way to immortalize this unforgettable moment!

Drawing inspiration from the iconic RAC trophy, each LEGO design was meticulously constructed using approximately 2,700 bricks. The grand prize and constructor trophies tower at over 59 cm tall and weigh a substantial 2 kg. The second and third place trophies boast red and blue accents, standing at around 43 cm with a weight of 1.5 kg each. Adorning every trophy is a miniature LEGO F1 car model, skillfully put together by seven accomplished LEGO Master Builders based in Denmark. In total, the assembly process took a dedicated 210 hours to complete.

The collaboration is an extension of LEGO’s ongoing alliance with Formula 1, aimed at entertaining families through interactive and engaging play activities. A duplicate of the first-place trophy was showcased during LEGO’s F1 Family Watch Party, which took place at London’s Battersea Power Station.
