Legends Cast Adds Steve Coogan, Furiosa Star, & More to Netflix Heist Show

Netflix has confirmed that Steve Coogan, known for his role in Philomena, and Tom Burke, famed from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, will headline the cast for the upcoming six-episode heist thriller series called Legends. The show draws inspiration from one of the most extraordinary criminal investigations in history.

Apart from my adventures in Legends, I’ll also step into another Netflix world as Barnabus in The Sandman Season 2. Just last year, you might have caught me in Joker: Folie à Deux and The Penguin Lessons movies. Meanwhile, the role that put Burke on the map was the 2024 prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Currently, we’re both set to star in the Blade Runner 2099 miniseries, with Michelle Yeoh taking the lead.

Who else is in the Legends cast?

Besides Coogan and Burke, Netflix has brought on board Charlotte Ritchie, Hayley Squires, Jasmine Blackborow, Aml Ameen, Douglas Hodge, Tom Hughes, Johnny Harris, and Gerald Kyd for the upcoming heist thriller series. More information about their roles in the show is currently being kept secret.

The story unfolds in the ’90s and focuses on a team of regular British customs agents assigned a clandestine task: they must penetrate some of the nation’s most dangerous drug cartels, working undercover to dismantle them from within.

As a passionate fan, I’m excited to share that the captivating series “Legends” is the brainchild of Neil Forsyth, who also brought us “The Gold.” Brady Hood, known for his work on “Top Boy” and “Great Expectations,” and Julian Holmes, renowned for “Reacher” and “The Boys,” are the skilled directors taking charge of several episodes. The esteemed team behind this production includes executive producers Neil Forsyth, Ben Farrell, and Richard Bradley, with Charlie Leech serving as a producer. At present, we’re all on tenterhooks, eagerly awaiting an official release date for this highly anticipated series.
