LeBron James Is Barbie’s First Ken Doll of a Professional Athlete

As a gamer speaking up, I’d say: “They’ve introduced a Barbie doll that looks just like LeBron James! This makes him the first-ever pro athlete to become a Ken doll. It was made in collaboration with his own foundation, the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF). The doll is designed to show him off-court, rocking a relaxed lifestyle style and packed with nods to his career, personal style, and life.

Collaborating with Mattel, James selected an initialed varsity jacket adorned with patches, such as a 23 patch symbolizing his jersey number. Beneath the two-toned jacket, the doll sports the popular “We Are Family” t-shirt from his charitable foundation and plaid pants.

The doll is adorned with blue and black Nike Terminator High sneakers, accessorized by a golden watch, sunglasses, Beats headphones, a sling bag, and an ‘I Promise’ wristband. As part of this partnership, Mattel has contributed to James’ LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF) projects. In line with James’ hometown in Akron, Ohio, the LJFF provides educational resources, housing assistance, healthcare services, job training, and community support.
